After an unforgeable 2014 summer to re-energize I´ve started recently two amazing new professional adventures in two areas that I enjoy a lot: mobility and support to entrepreneurs. In this new period of my life I want to think big and lead projects and initiatives that can have a significant impact in our industry, taking the risks and benefits of having equity in the projects I work for, and the opportunity to generate new jobs. During the last few years I´ve learn a lot about mobility in corporations, specially at Tempos 21 (the joint venture of Telefonica, HP and Erickson) and also about entrepreneurs and start-ups, leading one of the groups of the mentoring program we´ve following the MIT processes at Barcelona Activa, and also as member of the advisory board of the VC Nauta Capital. It´s time for me to leverage this experience and try new big projects. The magic of this industry is that give us always the opportunity to make some technology dreams true. In this new period I will keep using my magic formula of working hard and having fun, but also trying to manage better my work-life balance. During the last 30 years I´ve had the opportunity to work in some of the top leading global IT players overachieving year over year the challenges and managing several times two or more positions and roles at the same time. I´ll do my best in this new period as entrepreneur to succeed in both amazing adventures!

I´ve joined as CEO and Managing Director eBiid Products and Solutions (www.biid.com), a spin-off of Firma Profesional. Biid has developed and amazing, robust and secure technology platform for identity management and security, providing an easy to use and trusted security layer for any transaction from mobile devices. eBiid has a huge opportunity to impact our industry, providing a new layer of service and software giving security from mobile devices to any services from public sector entities, financial institutions, e-commerce platforms and any content and service provider, but keeping extremely simple the process for the end user. As main executive and member of the board I have had access to equity in this amazing project. The success of the Mobile ID service deployed with our platform currently in the Barcelona City Hall, one the leading smart cities in our planet, has been a proof of concept that is encouraging us to think big on the amazing opportunity that biid has in the market. We´ll open soon positions for a CTO, a Sales Director and two software developers (core platform and Mobile Apps), and I would encourage any potential candidate to apply.

I´ve joined the Barrabes Group as new CEO of StepOne (www.stepone.com ) the entrepreneur engine of the Barrabes smart cluster, contributing within the group to consolidate a network of scale up labs with senior consultants in the hottest innovation clusters of the planet (Silicon Valley, Boston, London, Shanghai). We will leverage this pool of talent to provide impactful consulting services and observatory of new trends, new disruptive technologies, business models and key innovations to large enterprises, sharing this information as competitive advantage, with a solid capability to execute and deploy new projects of innovation, thanks to more than 140 top talent consultants and professionals we´ve within Barrabes Group with track record of successful projects on e-commerce, user and customer experience, brand management, innovation processes and methodologies, internet of things and prototyping. In StepOne we will help large enterprises to develop intra start-ups and / or start-up ecosystems. The network of scale up labs with the senior staff we´ve there in this units will also help and support spanish entrepreneurs in their process of internationalization, keeping the mission that StepOne had when was founded several years ago. I´m very proud to contribute to this group working closer with Carlos Barrabes, a recognized leader of innovation in our industry, and with my dear friend Luis Martin. We´ve a close partnership with the Rafael del Pino Foundation leading the program “Youth with future” helping young and talented spanish software developers to find amazing professional opportunities at the hottest innovation clusters around the globe joining top companies in the Silicon Valley and New York, with the objective to return to Spain in the near future to contribute in strategic projects in our industry.
